Bulls Say

  • Hexagon’s margins lead peers, with further improvements expected.

  • The mix shift to a higher proportion of software revenue has strengthened the company’s moat and reduced cyclicality.

  • Many of Hexagon’s customers' industries are at low levels of digitization, which should lead to a long runway of growth opportunities for the company.

Bears Say

  • Overall, while historical acquisitions have been strategically sound, ROICs indicate price discipline has room for improvement.

  • Hardware, which is difficult to build a moat around, remains a large component of Hexagon’s revenue.

  • Reporting disclosure has been below investor expectations in the past, which reduces investor confidence and ultimately may hit the valuation.
